Scott Walker tries to convince voters he is a champion of Wisconsin’s middle class because he packs a “brown bag” lunch, but on Tuesday he will head to Washington to rub elbows with lobbyists and fat cats for the mere working person’s price of $1,000 a ticket:

“Former Gov. Tommy Thompson is one of the big names scheduled to appear at a high-priced fundraiser in Washington, D.C., next week for Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Scott Walker.

Walker liked to boast on the campaign trail and in television ads that he’s so frugal he packs his own brown bag lunch most days. But to get into Tuesday’s noon fundraiser as a host, Walker is asking for donations between $250 and $1,000.”
