Scott Walker Buries His Brown Bag FarceOf the most stomach-churning, rank-smelling elements of the 2010 gubernatorial campaign, Scott Walker’s Brown Bag Farce must rank near the top.

He traveled the state with a weird-looking (and pricey) “wrapped” brown bus. He hid from the media at pre-planned “brown bag” baloney sessions, where his donors who owned factories opened up their shop floors for Walker to campaign for tax cuts for the rich and against aid for working families. And Walker even took his brown bag mantra with him into the Republican back rooms in Milwaukee, where the booze flowed and he engineered the endorsement of the Republican bosses.

But alas, now that Walker has paid upward of a million bucks to an East Coast firm to create the illusion that his in-ground pool, his frequent steakhouse visits and his family’s foreign-made SUVs do not exist, and the backward idea that he actually gives a fig about the people in Wisconsin who actually work for a living, are we seeing the disposal of Scott Walker’s brown bag irony?

Is Scott Walker finally digging a shallow grave for his juvenile brown bags?

As his campaign collapsed in the final days against perennial loser Mark Neumann during the Republican primary, even the slavish right-wing radio talk show hosts in Milwaukee took Walker to task for the transparently bogus Brown Bag Farce. And since Sept. 14, Walker’s campaign has not run a single brown bag ad.

Now, part of this might be that he blew all his money fending off a weak challenger in Neumann, whom Wisconsin voters have rejected five or six times now.

But maybe, just maybe, Walker is digging the shallow grave for the brown bags because even HE sees…it’s just a bunch of baloney.
